Career bio

Lured from burgers to bentos in 2019, Matt made the move north to Brisbane's Motto Motto after leaving the high profile CEO role at Melbourne fast food chain, Huxtaburger.

 

Initially relocated to assist Motto Motto's by leading the marketing and franchising functions, Matt soon took on the role of Group Chief Commercial Officer to develop and grow new and existing revenue streams, including the company's complex supply chain and food manufacturing activities.

โ€‹

In 2019 Matt also worked contractually with Australasia's leading and recently awarded 'best global franchise consultancy', DC Strategy.

โ€‹

In early 2021, Motto Motto's Founder, William Liu appointed Matt as the Group Chief Operating Officer. This highly strategic role with accountability for sales, people and profit was charged with leading big change project across the group. The COO leads the entire organisation including the brand & marketing functions, supply chain, value zone, restaurant operations, wholesale food manufacturing and new restaurant development. The finance, administration and property functions sit within the group's shared services.
