With responsibility for Motto Motto's brand & marketing, franchising and supply chain functions, he was appointed to assist the Managing Director with the brand's strategy and ambitious growth plans: "Ex-Huxtaburger chief Matt Fickling is on a mission to shake up Australia’s ramen game"
Matt joined Huxtaburger in 2015 and during his tenure as CEO saw him spearhead a strategic plan, lead a re-brand of the burger business, develop a fit for purpose franchising framework, create a national supply chain, build an executive team and expand the brand into two new markets across Australia.
Within six months of joining Motto Motto, the group created an at home Japanese meal brand, KYOTO at home to boost revenue and meet a gap in the market amid the COVID-19 crisis. Matt's responsibilities were extended at Motto Motto Group to lead KYOTO's brand, digital and e-commerce functions as he became the group's Chief Commercial Officer.
